Designed by Olson Kundig Architects as a bachelor’s retreat on Salt Spring Island, this perfect one-room cabin is elemental yet refined. It has all the qualities I love in any house, but on a minimalist scale. Well, ok, I guess I could do without the open toilet tucked in next to the kitchen, but for what it is, this little cabin is as good as it gets. – GF

Eco Architecture: Singapore to soon flaunt a vertical farm incorporated skyscraper

Living in skyscrapers is nothing new, but concepts now have started floating in which allow people to live and grow their own vegetables in the sky. Eco-minded architecture firm TR Hamzah & Yeang, has come up with a skyscraper design for Singapore, dubbed the EDITT (Ecological Design In The Tropics) Tower. The 26-story skyscraper that will be constructed using various recycled and recyclable materials will house some of the most eco-fascinating technologies ever to be incorporated into a high-rise building.

Concept Cell Phone

Here is The Maple Phone . Prize weaning Concept phone design, From the 2 designers Eun Hak Lee and Hyun Jin Yoon won Silver at the Inter. Design Excellence Awards 2008 competition.

They created covered in thin wooden film camera phone concept, with touch sensitive buttons that light up through the housing when you touch the phone.

The cell phone measures 4.5 x 10.4 x 9.8 cm and is a slider with functions like calling, texting, MP3 player and digital camera. LCD display reveals itself from back as you slide the phone.
